Goliath is Already Dead
Have you ever been in situations where it seems there is no way out and the problem seems gigantic or giant like?  Let me give you a word of encouragement.  Goliath is already dead!  All the giants in life that try to come against us are defeated, because of the cross of Jesus.
When young 17 year old David went up against his giant, he approached the problem with the Word of God. “The battle is the LORD`s, and He will give you (the situation, giant) into our hands.” (1 Sam. 17:47)  He did not try to fight without solid faith in God to deliver him.
There is no giant too big for God.  It`s His battle and He will always deliver the enemy into your hands defeated!  You have to believe like David did in order to see your deliverance.  You will prevail over any circumstance if you remember the Lord your God is in control of the battle, not you.  (cw)

Don`t Lick the Glass
The sign on the candy store window read, “Don`t Lick the Glass, come inside!” Children would stare at the delicious candies displayed in the window and would actually lick the glass.  If they went inside, they would be able to taste and partake of the store`s specialties.
Many believers are just like those children.  They stand outside, seeing the benefits and blessings of the Lord but never step inside to receive them.  In Matthew 11:28 Jesus said, “Come unto me…and I will give you rest.”
God`s blessings of health, healing, prosperity, in fact ALL of His blessings are available to every believer.  We don`t have to be on the outside looking in, and never receiving.  The Lord is telling you today, “Don`t lick the glass, come inside and receive My very best!
“Thanks be unto God which always causes me to triumph in Christ…”
2 Corinthians 2:14

Deep in Thought
We are deep thinkers, aren`t we?  Every little thing in life, we feel that we must think about it and find out the answer.  And all too often, worry accompanies these thoughts.
There are certain things that we are not to spend our thought time on, as Jesus explains in verses 27-33 of Matthew 6.  He asks, in verse 27, “Which of you by taking thought, can add one cubit unto his stature?”  If we can`t, why think about it?
You see God has us covered.  While we sleep, He is taking care of business and changing things around to benefit us.
So next time, instead of “thinking” and worrying about things, let`s do what it says in Matthew 6:33,  “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

This May Be the Year
Books have been written, movies have been made: we have heard it taught our whole life that Jesus Christ was coming again…and soon!  Yet many believers have gotten complacent in watching and waiting.  We have stopped looking up and have allowed our thoughts to wander. (Luke 21:28)
God hasn`t changed His mind.  All prophecy leading to His return has been fulfilled.  Now we await the appointed time.
At the start of this New Year, it is time that we renew our thinking and excitement that this may be the year of Christ`s return for His Church!  May each one of us work diligently to help build God`s Kingdom, and may we take every opportunity to tell others about Christ as we prepare for His soon return!
Scripture Reading: Hebrews 4:14
Believe and Act
Many times we have asked God for something and while we wait for it to come, out confession begins to change over what we asked God for.  We begin to barter down on what we originally asked God to do for us.  Our expectations decrease and we often settle for less.
If you are waiting for God to do something you asked Him to do, don`t let the devil steal your confession.  Don`t let him talk you out of what you asked God.
God gives substance that produces tangible evidence when your faith is mixed with His Word and your unwavering confession.  Hold fast to your confession no matter what things look like in the natural… things are about to change.
“Let us hold fast to our confession without wavering.” (Hebrews 10:23)

The Hour glass of Time
The sand is quickly flowing through the hourglass of time.  All prophecy leading up to the rapture, “catching away”, or “come up hither”, of the church has been fulfilled.  At this point in time we are standing on the threshold of Revelation 4:1.  The hourglass is ready to empty.
Where will you be after the voice calls out, “Come up hither”?  Will you be caught up with the saints or left here on earth for the Great Tribulation?
Secure your position in Heaven by accepting Christ as your Lord and Savior today.  The Lord is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (II Peter 3:9). Say the prayer of salvation today. (JW)

Christ First
Christians are no different when it comes to making goals in life.  We want to achieve better levels and jobs just like the next guy.  Earthly goals and desires are fine as long as they line up with God's.  His desire is for us to be Christlike and seek Him first.
"But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added
unto you."   (Matthew 6:33)
Scripture Reading: Matthew 19:26
All things are possible
The words “I can`t”, should not be in the born again believer`s vocabulary.  “I can`t” has a negative effect on our lives and sets us up
to fail.
The words that Jesus gave us in Mark 9:23, “…all things are possible to him that believeth” have a positive effect in our lives and they give us a firm footing to stand on, setting us up to succeed.
Next time you`re faced with a situation that looks hopeless, get ready for deliverance because…All things are possible to them that believe.”
“The battle is the LORD`s, and He
will give you (the situation, giant)
into our hands.” (1 Samuel 17:47)
