Vessels of Mercy

If you are like most people, you have asked God questions like, “Why have you made me like this? Why did this happen to me?” Friends, our Lord is a God of mercy and doesn`t plan destruction or hurt for His children, but knows things happen as a result of sin in the earth.

Jesus has declared that He is the potter and has formed us to be used of Him for His glory here on earth.   His great love makes provision for us.  We are called His vessels to whom He has given mercy and forgiveness.  God prepared the riches of His glory for the vessels of mercy; all who believe in Him.

Instead of asking, “Why me Lord?” thank God that you are a vessel of mercy to be used of Him, and are open to whatever He wants you to be. (cw)

The Remnant Shall be Saved

When our carpet was being installed there were pieces of all sizes left over.  With the remnants we made good throw rugs to be used in various areas of our home and vehicles; nothing was thrown away.  The remnants were as good as the entire carpet and even more versatile.

The Word tells us that those who were first chosen by God to hear and receive Jesus rejected Him.  But the remnants (not of Jewish heritage) didn`t.  They would be spared because they were the ones who believed Jesus` message.  God has a good place for all of us, and we can be used for God in the best places, just like my throw rugs.  Ask God where He wants to use you and thank Him for saving the remnants! Not Placed in Shame

I was a child who grew up in a large family with seven children.  Whenever something happened, blame had a ways to travel before it finally landed on one of us kids.  Eventually the shame of disobeying would come out and justice would prevail.

God`s Word tells us that Jesus came to take away all blame and shame for whom ever would believe in Him.  The Word also states that those who do not believe in Jesus will one day be “put to open shame” for their sins and unbelief.

Only those who believe the Word of God and obey will escape the punishment and shame of disobeying God.

Is your heart right with God?  Repent today and believe in God, so that you will not be put to shame at His return. (cw)

The Word of Faith I Preach

People often ask us what denomination we are, and it confuses them when we say “the Word of Faith”, instead of saying Baptist, Pentecostal, etc.  We are children of God, not children of a denomination, and we believe the Word of faith that has been preached.  We confess the Word with our mouths and it is in our hearts; so we can truly say, “We Believe in God!”

As children of Light we are to speak words of faith to encourage others so they will believe in God.  In the future, if someone asks you what denomination you are say, “None!  I am a Word of faith believer and I go to this or that church!”  Learn to speak what the Word of God says about you and only speak what God has declared about who and what you are to Him.
